When you have
developed a strength to a level that you are happy with - that's the exact
moment that you need to push yourself further. Seek a mentor who is better than
you. Build rapport though this unique strength that you both share.
When you receive a
task that's outside of your comfort zone, you may want to seek the guidance of
a mentor who is strong in this area. Receiving guidance from them is good, but
don't go beyond that by asking your mentor to take a more hands-on role in helping
you. By completing the task on your own, you may surprise yourself about your
actual capabilities.
There are some
things in life that you love to do and you may only realize this when you feel
as though you are unable to do them anymore. Your mentor won't let you give up.
They push you in the right direction. When you finally build up enough courage
to take the plunge - the smile on your face is pure delight.
It may be tempting not to show up for an event, because you have been having a crazy stressed filled day. However, when you don't show up, you may be missing out on an amazing opportunity. The people that you meet and the conversations that you have can be totally life changing. You will only know the impact of an event at the end of the event that you show up for.
You have been
struggling to pick the right path and really racking your brain about the best
option. Then with the help of several mentors this all changes. With every
mentoring conversation, you start to gain crystal clear clarity about the
journey that must be taken. Cherish that feeling and move forward with a great
sense of purpose.

As a mentor, you can
provide tips, guidance and even advice sometimes - take some time to understand
where your mentee is coming from to ensure your suggestions are relevant to
their needs. However, this changes when your mentee is faced with big decisions
such as whether to apply for a promotion or which job opportunity to take. This
is when you need to ask your mentee a series of questions that help them to dig
deeper in exploring the issue and figuring out the right solution for
themselves.
