A candidate's
reference is helping you to make a good business decision. Honour and be
appreciative of their time by only asking a few key questions that relate to
the core attributes that you are looking for in a candidate. Listen closely to
their voice when responding to questions - if there is a pause or hesitation
then ask a follow-up question.
