"What is the best part of being an entrepreneur?" - Espresso with my mentor within
(posted over 8 years ago)
It's Not about being
your own boss, having flexibility in your day, being able to choose your
clients, etc. It's about having an idea and being able to act on that idea
quickly. It's about doing something that you are passionate about every day.
It's about building a brighter future.
"What can my legacy be?" - Espresso with my mentor within
(posted over 8 years ago)
How
would you like to be remembered when you are gone? A legacy can look different
for everyone. It's important to think about the impact that you would like to
make during your life - once you figure this out then your life will have a whole
new vision and purpose.
"Who should say thank you?" - Espresso with my mentor within
(posted over 8 years ago)
Every meeting should
be followed by a thank you note. The person who has the most to gain from the
relationship should send the note - the sales person, mentee, job seeker, etc.
Or sometimes you can forget about the rules and just be the one who says thank
you first.

The best projects
can not be checked off from your to-do list. These are the projects that help
you take your skills to the next level and those that make your product and
services even better. These projects are the best investment that you can make.
"How do I say sorry?" - Espresso with my mentor within
(posted over 8 years ago)
It's okay to say
sorry sometimes - but not all the time. Sorry should be a sacred word that is
used when you have made a mistake or when you were inconsiderate. When you
apologize for an action that you took - it should be followed by how you are
going to make things better moving forward.
"When is a meeting successful?" - Espresso with my mentor within
(posted over 8 years ago)
Write down what you
would like to achieve from a meeting. You may want to set smaller goals if this
is a new relationship such as a referral to the right person at an organization
or setting up a face-to-face meeting.
Setting a goal makes measuring the success of every interaction
easier.
